We find the buyers who are already looking or expressing interest. Then we check the fit and reach out while they are warm.

Reach buyers while they are looking

Someone asks their network for a supplier. Found and contacted while the question is still open.

Follow up the moment interest shows

A like, a comment, a profile view from someone in your target audience is a reason to reach out now.

Learn how your buyers really talk

Their words for the problem and their complaints about competitors, in threads where they are honest.

Sharper targeting, messaging and content

What you learn goes back into your outreach and your posts, so both get better over time.

Two kinds of signals.

Both move someone from a name in your audience to the top of the list. A few examples of many.

Buying signals, found by social listening.

Your buyers are out there describing the exact problem you solve, in their own words, on Reddit, on LinkedIn, in forums, in reviews of your competitors. They have never heard of you. That is the stuff worth tracking, and you reach out first.

  • Is there a planning tool that talks to our ERP? Ours needs a manual export every day.a question in a forumSignal
  • Who does your payroll? Looking for someone who knows manufacturing.a group postSignal

Intent signals, from engagement.

People in your target audience who engage with your profile or your content. They viewed your profile, liked or commented on a post, or started following you. That engagement means they get something out of what you put out, and that is a sign of interest. Sometimes they come to you; most of the time it is up to you to follow up.

This differs from regular outbound.

Regular outbound starts from a list you build: your ideal customer profile, the companies, the people, then the outreach. This starts from a person who shows interest, and runs the other way round: check the fit, prioritise the warmest, reach out fast.

If you are serious about your pipeline goals, you run both. Regular outreach brings a steady flow of new prospects. Signals add timing: they help you spot interested people in your target audience and reach out while they are warm.

Why add both kinds of signals to your outbound.

You post content and you do outreach. That grows your network. The people in it see your content, and some of them engage with a like, a comment or a profile view. Some are passive. They like your posts but never send a message. Those are signals. Outside LinkedIn, people ask for a supplier or complain about a competitor. Those are signals too.

Every signal is filtered for ICP first. The ones that fit get a fast follow-up on LinkedIn, and what they say teaches you about your audience and your positioning: their needs, how they see competitors, how they talk. That goes back into your targeting, your messaging and your content. The network grows, so more people see the content. Someone who asked about your topic on Reddit, got your message and said not now, is still in your network. A month later they like your post, and that is the next signal to follow up.

How we do social listening.

The channels and the words are chosen with you. The monitoring runs every working day. A person checks every signal and does the outreach. The engagement signals on LinkedIn come in through the campaigns and the content; they get the same check and the same follow-up.

01

The channels

Where your buyers talk: LinkedIn, Reddit, X, Facebook groups, industry forums, Discord, YouTube. And the review sites where people complain about competitors: G2, Trustpilot, Capterra, Clutch, TrustRadius.

02

What we track

Buying triggers combined with your category. The phrases buyers use for their pain points. Your product category. Competitors, direct and indirect. Your own brand. Industry terms.

03

The monitoring

Saved searches by hand are slow and do not scale. The monitoring is automated with tools like Google Alerts, Brand24, Mention and Octolens, and runs every working day.

The fit check

Every signal is checked against your ideal customer profile first. The ones that fit are tagged by segment, enriched with the missing contact details and prioritised by how warm they are.

What we do with it.

For your pipeline: the people who fit go into your LinkedIn campaign and get a first message written for them. For your positioning: the exact terms buyers use for the problem, the solution and the competitors go into your messaging. If we also write your content: the pain points that come up most become the themes of your posts.

to Rachel Kim

Hi Rachel, saw your question about ERP options for planning. We did that comparison with two manufacturers last year, and customisation was the catch every time. Which ones are you looking at?

Want the warm ones caught for you?

Questions about signals.

Read the full FAQ

Signal-based outreach uses relevant activity to help decide whom to contact and when. That might be someone asking for a recommendation, discussing a problem your offer solves or engaging with your LinkedIn content. We check that they fit your target audience, then use the context to guide the outreach.

We look for conversations about relevant needs, such as requests for recommendations or problems with an existing supplier, through social listening. We also look at LinkedIn activity such as profile views, post reactions, comments and new followers. We check the person's fit and the context before reaching out.

Yes. Signal & Intent-based outreach is the advanced option within Managed LinkedIn Outbound. It combines regular prospecting with social listening and activity from relevant people, so we can follow up when there is a timely reason to start a conversation.

Open this answer in the full FAQ

No. A profile view or a comment can show interest without showing a need, budget or plan to buy. Signals help us decide which relevant people to prioritize and what to talk about. The conversation is how we learn whether there is a real opportunity.

Your client portal brings together the work and reporting for the services you use. For managed outreach, we review campaign performance and the replies it produces. For LinkedIn content, we review post performance and who it reaches. We discuss what needs to change with you.
